The Xiaomi Mi 9 is coming. It’s been speckled in the wild
and we were told the new-fangled flagship phone is arriving next week. A Xiaomi
executive confirmed that the device will launch on February 20. Wang Xiang
(@XiangW_) described the Mi 9 will be prepared in a gorgeous and unique color
that’s made with nano-level laser drawing holographic technology and double
layer nano-coating. At the MIUI forum, Xiaomi announced that its kicking off
the Year of the Pig with the new Mi phone.
The phone runs on the newest Snapdragon 855 processor from
Qualcomm. That’s the only latest detail we got aside from one more confirmation
that the Xiaomi Mi 9’s brand ambassador will be TFBOYS Roy (Wang Yuan).
Wang Yuan is seen in a photo holding a Xiaomi Mi 9 with a
limited version phone case. We have a feeling many fans, at least in China,
will be influenced to buy the Mi 9 because of the endorser.
Xiaomi is making confident the Mi 9 is more powerful than
the earlier Mi 8 phone. The “Battle Angel” phone will be introduced on the same
day as Samsung’s Galaxy unpacked occasion.
Expect the Xiaomi Mi 9 phone to arrive with a triple rear
camera setup. The said feature makes it a worthy rival of the Huawei P20 Pro,
Huawei Mate 20, and the imminent Samsung Galaxy S10+. Its price could be
anything between 3000 and 4,000 yuan ($444 to $592).
