What’s the next Android Go phone? It’s amazing from Xiaomi.
Yup, the Chinese OEM has more phones to expose. After teasing us with the
Xiaomi foldable phone prototype, the next-gen display fingerprint scanner, and
the idea of a Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G phone variant, imagine the Xiaomi Redmi Go to
be announced. A young tech leaker spilled the beans and showed off the first
official invention images of the Redmi Go. The full specs are also scheduled so
we’ll wait for this innovative Redmi phone.
The Xiaomi Redmi Go device arrives equipped with a 5.0-inch
LCD screen with 16:9 aspect ratio, 1280 X 720 pixel HD resolution, 380 nit
brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a 72% NTSC color gamut. The smartphone
is motorized by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, Adreno 308 GPU, 1GB RAM,
8GB onboard storage space, microSD card slot for memory increase up to 128GB,
and a 3000mAh battery.
When it comes to imaging, expect the basic 8MP back camera
with LED flash, HDR, and f/2.0 aperture. The selfie camera is a 5MP shooter
with f/2.2.
The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go) version. There is no
reveal if it can be upgraded to Android 9 Pie but the Android Go version should
be decent enough.
We’re guessing this Xiaomi Redmi Go will be sold formally
under the Redmi sub-brand. It’s a basic smartphone so don’t expect much pace
and power.
