Realme had publicized its Realme Buds in November together with the MediaTek Helio P70-powered Reame U1 (review) smartphone. The earphones were originally set to go on sale with the handset. However, it did not happen. The company’s CEO Madhav Sheth has now confirmed that the Realme Buds will be existing for sale in India in January 2019.
Sheth made the details public throughout a session wherein he was speaking user queries. The session was named the #AskMadhav video series. He further exposed that the audio accessories will be existing on e-commerce sites such as Flipkart, Amazon, and Realme.com.
The Realme Buds derives with a price tag of Rs 499. The earphones come with 11mm audio drivers which will enhance the performance and deliver 160 percent louder bass as per the company. The buds come with a magnet that allows the users to place them together around their neck while not in use.
The 1.25-meter cable on the earphones has a Kevlar finish that makes it handier to use. The pair comes with a three-button remote that allows users to control audio and playback. The middle key on the pair can allow users to quickly access Google Assistant.
Realme is a new brand that made its entrance into the Indian smartphone market in early 2018. The company has launched devices such as Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, and Realme C1 since its launch. The company has priced its product violently to cater to a price sensitive audience and gather market share.
