Nokia 9 PureView case renders repeat penta-camera arrangement

HMD Global is rumoured to be employed on its flagship device, the Nokia 9 PureView and it is speculated to feature a five-camera arrangement on the back. While the company has not confirmed the handset’s existence, numerous reports are circulating online that advise that the phone is in development. Now, new case renders of the Nokia 9 have leaked online, via AndroidPure, hinting at a penta-camera setup on the device’s back panel. An image of the case reveals seven cutouts on the back, and while five of the cut-outs are said to house the cameras and the two other cut-outs, one might feature an LED flash and another one for a supposed optic sensor. Additionally, the renders show a mic hole above the camera situation. The case renders also suggest that there might not be a 3.5mm audio jack on the device, which is in line with the earlier reports.

Three Nokia phones were before spotted on Bluetooth guarantee websites and as per the report, the model numbers TA-1082, TA-1087, and TA-1094 have established the certification. The TA-1094 variant of the phone is also dotted on other certification websites like MIIT and 3C. The listings suggest that the phone might come with Bluetooth 5.0 and support for 4G. Earlier reports of the device suggest that the company might presentation the Nokia 9 PureView by the end of 2018. However, this might not happen and one more report claimed that the launch had been postponed. Rumours circulating the internet advise that the device might be announced at CES in January or MWC in February. The main reason for this is apparently quality issues with the penta-camera setup.

A recent report also recommended that Nokia might be working on a totally innovative smartphone. A new Nokia phone was leaked in images and its forward-facing panel looks like a notch-less Nokia 5.1 Plus. There is no notch and the front camera can’t be seen anywhere either, and it is speculated that it could come with a motorised setup or a slider that houses the front camera arrangement and the sensors. An image of the phone’s back panel shows off three centrally placed, vertically aligned rear cameras. There’s no fingerprint sensor either. The report advises that the phone might feature an in-display fingerprint sensor and run on the Snapdragon 855 SoC.
