Reliance Jio to Explore 5G, IoT Domain with the New Acquisition

Nasdaq-listed telecom solutions provider Radisys Corp is Ambani’s armor in the unpleasant war of the telecom business. Although Jio owns the name of bringing a digital revolution with inexpensive data and voice plans, the other telecom is also loaded with pledges to make up for the loss. According to an Economic Times report, “data tariffs have out 90% while voice tariff by about 60% in the past couple of years, resulting in uncivilized revenue of telecom companies dropping 8% on-year to Rs 2.6 lakh crore in 2017”. It is fairly clear that the companies working in telecom will now need to incline more towards the developing technologies Like IoT. And, that’s how the gaining of Radisys by Reliance Jio comes into existence. The agreement is said to be fixed in $75 million. With the new gaining, Reliance Jio is set to up its novelty game. The director of  Jio, Akash Ambani said that the attainment would help Jio’s efforts in global innovation and technology leadership, with 5G, IOT and exposed source architecture adoption in particular.

Jio Plans to Lead the Next-Gen Services

Internet of Things (IoT) is a capable upcoming market which is assessed to hold a worth of over $9 billion by the year 2020 in India. Reliance Jio might be the first one to make a move in the technology domain, but it is not the only one seriatim in the league. The other major telecoms are in no disposition to sit back and watch Jio take the attention in the new game again. It is reported that telecom huge Airtel is also in advanced talks with Verizon, a US telecom major for an extensive partnership about IoT. The company has previously pushed a number of IoT projects at its Manesar system center. The telecom company is also said to be starting a new facility in Bengaluru to work on the new skills.

The Indian telecom operatives have a huge development potential in the IoT domain for long terms starting now, even once it seems a little far-fetched. With the introduction of 5G, the potential deepens even further due to higher volume benefits and low in expression.
