Huawei Mate 20 Pro on DxOMark: observe if it rivals the P20 Pro
The Huawei P20 Pro currently has a rival. Well, not just but after almost a year of being on top of DxOMark’s ranking for mobile photography, the P20 Pro is now joined with the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Yes, Huawei has done it once more. That is expected because each main camera systems of the two are almost the same with small changes on the 8MP telephoto lens and the 20MP ultrawide lens. We’re expecting the Huawei P30 Pro will overtake the P20 Pro once it enters the mobile market.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro was announced in October previous year. We told you about the release date and prices and shared with you how the Qi-standard wireless charging is super fast and suitable.

Huawei isn’t allowed in the United States so the phone won’t be sold in the country. One teardown revealed how it is modular and yet requires a lot of disassemblies, consequential in low repairability. “Is it worth the high price?”, we asked. It depends on who you’re asking.

That was one of AnTuTu’s Global Top 10 Best Performing Android Phones for November 2018. And just recently, we learned about the Huawei Mate 20 Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space being out in new colors.

Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro is called by the DxOMark team as a super-phone. The camera system is clearly what makes the device powerful. It’s able to make premium quality photos and videos in different shooting situations.

DXOMARK MOBILE Scores

The mobile photo features offer well-controlled levels of image noise even in stumpy light conditions. The camera allows a wide dynamic range and first-class target exposure plus lovely white balance and color rendering. Autofocus is repeatable and fast in most conditions. Zoom is good but you may notice some natural exposé of fine details, ringing, and autofocus inconsistencies when using flash.

When it comes to mobile video, its autofocus is fast and smooth with high-quality tracking. You will notice proficient stabilization when holding the camera still. White balance is correct while colors are pleasant. Notice the low noise levels in bright light, as well as, good experience adaption to changing light conditions. The only negative explanation is the camera shake when walking while recording particularly indoors, lack of fine aspect, and judder.
